Hanalei Handbag Pattern

The Hanalei Handbag pattern by Pink Sand Beach Designs is Fat Quarter friendly, and has a front zipper pocket, two back pockets, and six pockets inside.  There is an easy to sew NO SAG bottom, and the 20" straps can be made to any length. Photos are included in each step. Finished size: 15 1/2" wide at the top x 11 1/2" tall x 4" deep.

Materials list:

• 1/2 yd of Fabric 1 for the lower front pocket, back pocket (or 2 FQ)
• 1/2 yd of Fabric 2 for the bag sides, back, bottom, straps (or 2 FQ)
• 1 FQ of Fabric 3 for the bag accents, front pocket base, zipper tabs
• 1/2 yd of Fabric 4 for the bag lining (or 2FQ, directional fabrics require more yardage)

INTERFACING

• 1/2 yd of Pellon #987F Fusible Fleece
• 1 yd of Pellon Decorbond #809 fusible
• 1/8 yd of Pellon #71F Peltex single side fusible

• 1 Magnetic purse snap
• 1 - 14" long all purpose polyester zipper
• Jeans/Denin (90/14) machine needles
