The Bali Bag Pattern

This large quilted tote bag from Virginia Robertson features Bali Batiks.  There are instructions for 8 pockets inside and the flap fastens with Velcro.  This is an easy to make bag with a finished size is  15"x15"x6".

Materials Needed:

• Twelve eighth yard cuts of batik
• The flap is 1/4 yd of fabric
• The bottom and handles are 1/2 yd
• The lining is 1 3/4 yd when you have 2 pockets and 1 yd for 1 pocket
• The bag on the front has three shades of 1/2" batik ribbon for the tassel
• 1 1/2 yd medium weight interfacing
• Thin 45" fusible batting
• Sheet of 11" x 17" templast plastic for the bottom of the bag and for making patterns. (Option: 1/8 yd of Fast-To-Fuse
• One inch of Velcro and a fabric glue stick
