We are now carrying e-purse patterns from ChrisW Designs of Australia! All these patterns are available from our new site, which will be specializing in only e-purse patterns in a downloadable format (PDF) straight to your computer - no waiting for the mail man!

Designs include the Emma, Bella, Evelyn, and the Amy Backpack and have precise instructions, lots of photos, and pattern pieces. Prices range from $6.95 to $9.95 and the designer has given her permission for anyone who purchases her patterns to make them up to sell on E-Bay, Etsy, etc. without a licensing fee.

NEW FOR APRIL! Happy Handles Kit! This Kit comes complete with everything you need (except your own matching fabric, of course!) to make your perfect handles!  Included is the pattern, plastic tubing and enough Craf-tex to make two handles for your new handcrafted bag!  Directions are given for 19" and 25" handles with adjustments for other lengths noted.

The Grace Bags pattern by Aunties Two is a mother/daughter matching handbag set that you can make! The best thing about this pattern, however, is that all net profits made from the sale go to the Kindness Center in Biddeford, Maine. Rosalie Quinlan from Australia is the big sister of Melly from Melly & Me and has been sewing and crafting for about 10 years. A lot of her patterns have templates for creative stitchery and, if you check out her blog, you will see examples of some of her work! We just received her Broderie Backpack pattern and it is a beauty!

The Broderie Backpack Pattern by Rosalie Quinlan Designs is a large but comfortable to carry drawstring backpack pattern with a top handle, instructions for using 6 decorative fabrics, and 2 front pockets.  Finished size is approximately 22" high.

Materials Needed:

  • 30cm (12") Fabric One (hot pink stripe)
  • 30cm (12") Fabric Two (small yellow/white print)
  • 30cm (12") Fabric Three (large yellow/pink floral)
  • 30cm (12") Fabric Four (small green/pink print)
  • 25cm (10") Fabric Five (hot pink print)
  • 25cm (10") Fabric Six (white broderie anglaise)
  • 60cm (24") fabric for lining
  • 130cm (51") thin fusible batting
  • White perle 8 thread (hand-quilting)


We are always very happy to get a new StudioKat Bag Pattern in and The Quattro is a great addition to her line of unique bag patterns! Best of all, we were able to follow the creative process during the design of this bag on her blog and it really makes us appreciate her even more:)
