Country Courier Bag Pattern *

The Country Courier Bag Pattern (A Charlie's Aunt Design for Indygo Junction) is inspired by the practical shoulder bags of the 1940's.  This bag pattern has a deep bucket shape constructed with darts at the base and a shaped front pocket which creates an interior pocket.  Finished size is 15"H x 14"W x 3"D.

Materials Needed:

•   3/4 yard of 54" wide or 1 1/4 yards of 44" wide woolen or decorator fabric for the bag exterior
• 1 yard of 36" wide sew-in interfacing or fleece for interfacing bag and stabilizing upper flap on View A
• 3/4 yard of 36" wide iron-on interfacing for handle/pocket (and flap View B)
• 1 magnetic snap closure set
• 2 large vintage or new buttons for flap and pocket (plus one or two to trim strap point on View A)
• Optional for Both Versions:
• Rotary hole-punch to make neat holes for magnetic snaps
• Small pliers for applying magnetic snap closure
