Mary Ann's Market Tote

The Mary Ann's Market Tote pattern by Purse Strings has instructions for heavy duty interfacing to make this market bag extra durable and sturdy.  Finished size is 16 1/2" x 14 1/2" x 4 1/2".

Materials Needed:

• 3/8 yd outer bag fabric
• 1/4 yd contrasting lower band fabric
• 1/2 yd contrasting lining fabric
• 3/8 yd contrasting handle fabric
• 3/8 yd contrasting pocket fabric
• 1/8 yd contrasting binding fabric for top of tote (If you want this binding to be bias, you need to add 1/2 yd)
• 7 yds pre-packaged covered piping (Or make your own with 1/2 yd contrasting fabrci and 7 yds of 1/8" cotton cording-instructions included)
• 1/4 yd 1/2" elastic
• 3/4 yd 22" wide fusible woven interfacing for back of outer bag
• 1/2 yd 15"-22" wide sturdy interfacing (like Timtex) for back of lwoer band
• 1/2 yd fusible knit interfacing for back of lining (Like Fusi Knit)
• 1 - 1" or larger button for pocket
