Sidewalk Satchel Pattern *

The Sidewalk Satchel bag pattern by Anna Maria has 2 options - one for a smooth bag and the other for gathers.  There is also instructions for a sculpted flower to decorate the front of your bag.   Finished size is 18 in. wide x 10 in. tall (at center) x 4 1/2 in. deep excluding strap.

Materials Needed:

FABRIC requirements:
Light to medium weight cottons for Option A (gathered bag) and medium to heavy (like home decor) cottons for Option B (smooth bag).

45 in. or 54 in. wide fabrics
1 1/2 yds of outer fabric
1 1/2 yds of linning fabric

Sculpted Flower requirements:
The sculpted flower on the magnetic closure tab can be made from fabric scraps from three solid colors. If you need to purchase new fabrics, an 1/8 yd of each color would be more than enough.

INTERFACING requirements:
2 1/4 yds Pellon Decor Bond 809 Interfacing
2 x 20 in. and 4 x 8  in. pieces of Pellon Peltex 72F double-sided Interfacing
