Boulevard Bag Pattern *

The Boulevard Bag Pattern by Mary Ann Donze (Indygo Junction) is a stylish and sophisticated shoulder bag that fastens with a drawstring on top but opens wide for easy access.  There is a decorative fabric covered cord that outlines the bag which also forms the double shoulder straps.  Extra large eyelets are used with the drawstring closure and finished size is 14" H x 15" W x 5" D (excluding handles).

Materials Needed:

• VIEW A (Constructed with 3 fabrics):
• Fabric 1 - Upper band - 1/8 yd
• Fabric 2 - Lower front and back - 1/2 yd
• Fabric 3 - Side/lower band, straps, lining, interior pocket 1 and 2 - 2 yards
• VIEW B (Constructed with recycled denim jeans and 3 fabrics - One pair of adult denim jeans with a relatively long inseam for upper band and drawstring):
• Fabric 1 - Lower front and back - 1/2 yd
• Fabric 2 - Side/lower band, straps - 1 yd
• Fabric 3 - Lining, interior pocket 1 and 2 - 1 1/8 yds
• BOTH VIEWS:
• 1 1/2 yds fusible fleece interfacing (This will not be fused to fabric)
• 4 yds 22/32" diameter cotton piping cord
• 16 extra large 7/16" eyelets with tool kit
• Pearl cotton or embroidery floss in contrasting color
• Embroidery needle
• Scotch tape
• Thread for use with denim (optional)
• Large safety pin
• VIEW A ONLY:  2 yds 3/8" soft leather lacing for drawstring
