Classic Handbag Pattern *

The Classic Handbag Pattern by Samantha Hussey of Sewing Patterns by Mrs H includes sewing instructions and pattern templates for creating a wonderful medium sized bag with a classic shoulder bag shape, slip pockets topped with zip piping on the exterior & zip pockets inside. The bag has the option of two lengths of fixed strap, plus bag feet and a beautiful timeless style. The Classic handbag has both gussets and top boxed corners to provide a great skillbuilder pattern! Materials needed:

• 3/4 yd fabric - exterior
• 3/4 yd fabric - lining
• 2-1/4 yds medium weight fusible interfacing
• 24" x 24" foam stabilizer
• 3" x 12-1/2" fusible fleece
• 7-1/2" x 3" bag base or thin cutting mat
• (2) 14" #5 zipper
• 7" #3 zipper
• (2) 1-1/2" rectangle rings
• (5) 1/2" purse feet
• (2) smal rivets: 5/16" caps x 1/4" post (optional)
