Raleigh Purse Pattern

The Raleigh Purse Pattern by Laura Martell of The Creative Thimble includes sewing instructions for creating  a stylish, fully lined purse with lots of pockets and room for your entire daily needs.   It has one outside patch pocket, and 2 pockets in the lining, (one patch and one zipper). The purse closes at the top with a zipper. Finished size: 12" W x 9" H x 6" D.

Materials Needed:

• Main Fabric and lining fabric - 3/4 yd each
• Optional fabric handles - additional 1/4 yd of main fabric
• 45" wide fusible interfacing - 1 1/4 yd or 1 1/2 yd if making fabric handles
• Handles & Rim:
  • OPTION A: Webbing for handles and rim - 2 1/3 yd
  • OPTION B: Webbing for handles only - 1 1/2 yd
  • OPTION C: Fabric handles (see above) 3/4" to 1" wide decorative trim or ribbon for the rim - 1 yd
• 12" dress zipper to match main fabric
• 7" zipper to match lining fabric
• OPTIONAL: jewel glue to glue on rim
