Botanical Bags Pattern

The Botanical Bags Pattern by Marilyn Gash has instructions for a mid-hip length wool and cotton bag with appliqued designs and a shoulder strap.  Finished size is 11 1/2" H x 7" W x 1 1/2" D, excluding shoulder strap.

Materials Needed:

• TULIP DESIGN BAG: Two 7 1/2" x 12" pieces of tan colored wool
• One 7" x 6" piece of medium green colored wool
• One 3" x 6" piece of light rose colored wool
• One 4" x 7" piece of cark rose colored wool
• One 4" x 8" piece of dark green colored wool
• One skein each of DMC floss, #407 light rose, #934 dark green, #3051 light green, and #3858 dark rose
• 2/3 yd of Home Decor (canvas) weight striped cotton for sides, bottom and shoulder strap
• Roxanne Glue-Baste-It
• Plastic template materials
• LEAF DESIGN BAG: Two 8 1/2" x 12 1/2" pieces of green colored wool
• One 7 1/2" x 8" piece of gold colored wool
• One 5" x 8" piece of peachy/orange colored wool
• One 2" x 4" piece of light green colored wool
• One 2" x 4" piece of turquoise colored wool
• One 2" x 4" piece of dark red colored wool
• One skein each of DMC floss, #407 dark sand, #680 dark gold, and #3781 dark brown
• 2/3 yds of Home Decor (canvas) weight tan/gold cotton for sides, bottom and shoulder strap
• Roxanne Glue-Baste-It
• Ruler
• Plastic template material
• Optional: 1/8" hole punch
