Kitchen Garden Bags Pattern *

The Kitchen Garden Bags pattern is a practical and pretty purse inspired by vintage bag designs of the 1940's.  There are 2 views included in this bag pattern - View #1 has a yoke and bow and View #2 has a pleated front pocket.  Finished size is 13" H x 16" W, excluding handles.

Materials Needed:

• VIEW #1: (The smaller larger cover photo with the bow on the front of the bag)
• 3/4 yard (70cm) of 45" wide (115cm) or 54" wide (140cm) main fabric
• 1/2 yard (50cm) of 36" (92cm) wide batting (or similar sew-in interfacing)
• 3/4 yard of 45" wide or 1/2 yard of 54" wide lining fabric
• 1/2 yard of 36" wide fusible interfacing for handles and flap
• 2 pieces x 1/2" (4cm) square of craft interfacing (optional-for snap stabilization)
• 1 magnetic snap set
• Zip fastener 6" (15cm) long for interior pocket
• VIEW #2: (The larger cover photo to the bag with two buttons on the front flap)
• 1 yard (92cm) of 45" wide or 3/4 yard of 54" wide main fabric
• 1/2 yard of 36" wide batting (or similar sew-in interfacing)
• 1 yard of 36" wide or 3/4 yard of 45" wide lining fabric for bag lining and interior pockets
• 1/2 yard of 36" wide fusible interfacing for handles, pocket, and tab
• 1 magnetic snap set
• Zip fasteners 6" long for internal pocket
• 2 vintage buttons approximately 1 3/4" (30cm) in diameter for flap trim
