Casual Clutches Pattern Booklet *

The Casual Clutches Pattern Booklet by Michelle Golightly Sewing includes sewing instructions and pattern templates for creating three different styles of clutches and 2 sizes!  Designed specifically for laminated fabric, these bags are perfect for your i-gadgets but have a very feminine touch with ruffles, pleats, etc.  Other features are adjustable straps and inside pockets.  Finished sizes are 5" x 8" (For Kindles, etc.) and 7 1/2" x 10" (For iPads, etc.).  This pattern is designed for laminated fabric but optional instructions for cotton fabric is included.

Materials Needed:  Base on 42" wide fabric

• SMALL SIZE (5" x 8") -
•  Tie -1/2 yard for exterior fabric, 1/3 yard for lining, 1/3 yard for accent fabric
• Geometric flowers - 1/2 yard for exterior, 1/3 yard for lining, 1/2 yard for accent fabric
• Pleated trim - 18" plus 1 1/2" per row for exterior, 1/3 yard for lining, 1/3 yard for accent
• Woven fusible interfacing - 1/2 yard
• Soft and Stable by Annie (or use fusible fleece) - 11" x 12"
• MEDIUM SIZE (7 1/2" x 10") -
• Tie - 1/2 yard for exterior, 1/2 yard for lining, 1/2 yard for accent fabric
• Geometric Flowers - 1/2 yard for exterior, 1/2 yard for lining, 3/4 yard for accent fabric
• Pleated trim - 18" plus 3" per row for exterior fabric, 1/2 yard for lining fabric, 1/2 yard for accent fabric
• Woven fusible interfacing - 1 yard
• Soft and Stable by Annie (or use fusible fleece) - 14" x 18"
• ACCENT FABRIC is for the pocket, interior band, and geometric flowers - if you choose to do your pocket out of the exterior fabric and the interior band and geometric flowers out of the lining fabric, no accent fabric is needed.
• Additional Materials:
• Batting - 1" x 55"
• NOTIONS FOR ALL:
• Magnetic snap - 1 set
• Two 1" D-rings
• One 1" vest buckle
• Two 1" swivel hooks
• Three 3/4" buttons (for geometric flowers)
• Pleated Trim - one great fashion button
• For pleated trim (if you are using cotton fabric) - 2 yards of 1" ribbon for the small bags (2 1/2 yards of 1 1/2" ribbon for the medium bags) per desired row (see step #17 for more info)
• Grommets & Tie - two large grommets and 1 1/2 yard for small or 2 yards for the medium bag of ribbon
