Briefcase Style Tote Pattern

The Briefcase Style Tote by Jean Wells makes a perfect tote design for carrying a laptop or iPad.  The bag fabric has been pieced improvisationally to create a modern patchwork look. Directions are included for cloth handles or purchased leather handles. The finished size is 12" x 10" x 6".

Materials needed:

• 1/8 yd of eight different fabrics for the body and handles
• 5/8 yd for piecing and lining
• 1/2 yd of Pellon DecorBond OR 1 1/4 yd of Fast to Fuse OR 18" x 58" of Soft and Stable by Annie
• Thread for construction
• Thread for top stitching
• Optional leather handles (approximately 21" long)
