My Things Tote Bag Pattern

"My Things" Tote Bag pattern by Rosalie Dekker Designs includes instructions for a pieced patchwork tote bag with handles with a zippered top and also a smaller bag patterns.  Finished size is 15" wide x 12" plus handles (38 cm x 30 cm).  It is recommended that you have some basic knowledge of quilting and patchwork in order to make this pattern.

Materials Needed:

• Eight fat eighths of fabric or an assortment of fabric scraps for the main bag
• One fat eighth of white fabric (damask recommended)
• Scrap of red fabric for daisy petals
• 1/2 yd (45 cm) fabric for lining
• 3/4 yd (60 cm) Pellon for lining
• Perle 8 thread (Pale pink, #818)
• 2 3/4 yd ( 2 1/2 m) of pink ric-rac
• 10" (25 cm) dress zipper for small bag
• 15" (38 cm) dress zipper for large bag
• Eight red buttons, approximately 5/8" diameter (16 mm)
• DMC six-strand embroidery floss (Red #498)
