Lill Street Messenger Bag Pattern *

The Lill Street Messenger Bag Pattern by Bari J. has instructions for decorative side gussets, a comfortable single shoulder strap, and a unique front flap.  Finished size is 16" W x 10 1/2" x 3" D.

Materials Needed:

• 1/2 yd of four different fabrics for outside of bag
• 1/8 yd for gusset
• 1/8 yd for strap
• 3/4 yd for lining
• 2 yds woven cotton fusible interfacing
• 3/4 yd of fusible fleece
• 6" piece of heavy canvas
• 1 piece of plastic canvas at least 18" long
• Elastic - 1/2" wide x 6" long
• 1 metal bar slide with a 2" opening
• 2 rectangular rings with a 2" opening
• Magnetic closure
• Chalk or erasable marker
• Fabric glue
• Optional: 1 1/2 yds of buckram (stabilizer that helps bag to stand up better)
• 4 purse feet
