The Field Bag Pattern *

The Field Bag Pattern by Lucy Morey of Hot Scott Patterns is a convenient and comfortable bag in a classic style and is great for children (or anyone else!) to carry their belongings with them.  There is an across the body strap, a front flap, and organizational pockets.  Finished size is 13 1/2" H x 11 1/4" W x 4 3/4" D.

Materials Needed:  Fabric is 44"/45" wide

• 1 5/8 yds fabric
• 1 3/4 yds coordinating lining fabric (you will have extra)
• 3 magnetic snaps for flap closures (Or you can use Velcro squares, hook and loop cut and sewn on the front of the bag and on the inside top flap and also on the flap to the phone pocket)
• 2 zippers (4" and 6") -(You can also get the closest larger size and cut it down)
• Two 2" rectangular rings and one matching 2" belt rectangle (for the strap to attach to the Field Bag)
• 1 3/4 yds (approximately) Fusible Polar Fleece (or regular fusible fleece)
• 3 1/2 yds double fold 1/4" bias tape (or make your own which is included in the yardage)
• Artist Utility Plastic Grid - 1 sheet will make several bags
• 1 1/2 yds of light weight interfacing or tracing paper
• Marking pencil, pen, or chalk
