Peaks and Points Bag Pattern

The Peaks & Points Bag Pattern by Square Rose has 3 different designs which use triangles and instructions for zippers or a corded closure.

Materials Needed:

• BAG 1 (Four fabrics A-D) 9" H x 11" W
• Bag Fabric A - 1/4 yard (or 1 fat quarter) for the triangles
• Bag Fabric B - 1/2 yard for the bottom, handles, and the contrasting triangles
• Inner Border Fabric C - 1/8 yard or two pieces of fabric 2" x 15"
• Top Border Fabric D - 1/8 yard or two pieces of fabric 3" x 15"
• Lining and pockets - 1/2 yard of fabric that compliments the bag fabrics
• Zipper - 14" or  longer
• BAG 2 (Four fabrics A-D) 10" H x 13" W
• Bag Fabric A - 3/8 yard (or 1 fat quarter) for the triangles
• Bag Fabric B - 5/8 yard for the bag bottom, handles, and contrasting triangles
• Inner Border Fabric C - 1/8 yard or two pieces of fabric 2" x 13"
• Top Border Fabric D - 1/8 yard or two pieces of fabric 3" x 13"
• Lining and pockets - 5/8 yard of fabric that compliments the bag fabrics
• Zipper - 16" or longer
• BAG 3 (Six fabrics A-F) 10" H x 13" wide
• Bag fabric (A-C) - 1/4 yard (or 1 fat quarter) each of three fabrics for three of the rectangles
• Bag Fabric D - 5/8 yard for the fourth rectangle, the bottom, and the longer handles
• Inner Border Fabric E - 1/8 yard or two pieces of fabric 2" x 15"
• Top Border Fabric F - 1/8 yard or two pieces of fabric 3" x 15"
• Lining and pockets - 5/8 yard of a fabric that compliments the bag fabrics
• Optional purchased cord for closure - 3/4 yard of 1/4" to 3/8"  cord
• Bauble - A large bead or ring (the hole needs to fit two widths of cord)
• IN ADDITION YOU WILL NEED:
• Cord for handles - 1 yard of 1/8" cord for handle stability (will not show)
• Medium weight fusible fleece - 1/2 yard (At least 30" wide)
• Light weight fusible fleece for handles - Two pieces 1" x 19" for Bags 1 and 2, two pieces 1" x 29" for Bag 3
• Buttons - Four 3/4" to 1" buttons
