PortaPockets Plus Pattern *

The PortaPockets Plus bag insert pattern by StudioKat Designs is the state of the art in organizing your handbag!  There are lots of options with modular units that can either zipper together or even Velcro (instructions included for this option)!  There is room for an IPAD, cell phone, credit cards, and everything else you want to keep close at hand and easy to find.

Materials Needed:

• Fabrics: (Quilters cotton recommended)
• Exterior Fabric: 1/2 yard
• Contrast #1: 1/2 yard
• Contrast #2: 5/8 yard
• Lining:  7/8 yard
• Fusible Interfacing (Craft Fuse): 1/4 yard
• Soft & Stable:  One 45" x 8" piece
• Peltex:  One 4 1/2" x 10" piece (for 3 Card  Caddys)
• 3 each: 9" (or longer) nylon coil zippers
• 4 each:  4 1/2" nylon coil separating zipper OR 16" of 3/4" wide Velcro
• 1 yard:  1/4" wide flat elastic
• 4 yards:  Extra wide bias tape (or make your own)
• 10 inches:  3/4" wide flat elastic
• 6 inches:  1/2" wide ribbon or twill tape
• For optional key ring, choose one of the following:
• One spring snap (1/2" wide x 1 1/2" long) OR
• One whistle buckle (3/4" wide x 1 1/2" long)
