Crescent Bag Pattern *

The Crescent Bag Pattern by Square Rose is a comfortable to carry bag pattern that fits perfectly under your arm!  There are instructions for pockets inside and there are 2 sizes included with this pattern:  The Small Bag which measures 8"H (Not including strap) x 12"W x 3"D and the Large Bag which measures 11"H (Not including strap) x 15"W x 3"D when completed.  There is a folded flap outside pocket, an embellished closure with an optional magnetic snap, and only 2 main patterns pieces, making this an easy to construct hobo style handbag.

Materials Needed:  Based on 44" wide fabric

• SMALL BAG:
• Main bag - 5/8 yard
• Strap, Outside Pocket and Closure - 5/8 yard
• Lining - 1 yard (The lining will be visible on the bag strap)
• Light Weight Non-Woven Fusible Interfacing - 3/4 yard (44" wide) or 1 3/4 yards (20" Wide)
• Fusible Fleece - 5/8 yard
• LARGE BAG:
• Main Bag - 5/8 yard
• Strap, Outside Pocket and Closure - 3/4 yard
• Lining - 1 yard (The lining will be visible on the bag strap)
• Light Weight Non-Woven Fusible Interfacing - 1 yard (44" wide) or 2 yards (20")
• Fusible Fleece - 3/4 yard
• Optional Magnetic Snap - 3/4"
• Pendant or bead with large opening to embellish the closure
• NOTE - The interfacing can be omitted if using a heavier weight fabric like home decor, denim, or linen
