Ada's Poppies II Diaper (Tote) Bag Pattern

Ada's Poppies II Diaper (or Tote) Bag Pattern by Seams & Dreams is a carry everything tote that can be made from 3 Fat Quarters.  There are instructions for 3 pleated pockets on the front on the front, a large open pocket on the back, and a single shoulder strap.  Included are applique templates for the poppies with simple sewing techniques.

Materials Needed:

• Outer Bag:
• Strips - 3 Fat Quarters
• Small pockets - 1 Fat Quarter or 1/4 yard
• Large pocket - 1 Fat Quarter or 1/4 yard
• Pocket lining - 1/4 yard (pocket linings form the dark trim at the top of the pockets - see photo of bag)
• Strap - 1/4 yard
• Lining:
• Center section - light colored lining - 2/3 yard
• Top - shows at top of bag - 1 Fat Quarter or 1/4 yard
• Pockets - 1 Fat Quarter
• Appliques:
• Small pieces/scraps for poppies, leaves, and stems
• Other Supplies:
• 2 1/2 yards sew-in lightweight interfacing, at least 20" wide
• (2) 20 1/2" x 38" pieces of stable batting
• 3/4 yard of paper backed fusible webbing
• 1" non-roll elastic - 30"
• 1/4" braided elastic - 30"
• (4) D-rings - 1 1/4"
• 1 magnetic snap
• Jeans needle for sewing machine
