Lilla Handlebar Basket Pattern *

The Lilla Handlebar Basket makes a special addition to your child's bicycle!  It's the perfect size for a little girls or little boys bike or tricycles. Take it off of the handlebars and carry as a handbasket!  This child's bike basket pattern can be made from oilcloth or heavier weight laminated fabric.  Finished size is 8" x 7 1/2" x 6 1/4".

Materials Needed:  Yardage given is for 47" wide oilcloth or 42" wide laminated fabric

• Basket: 1/4 yard of oilcloth or laminated fabric
• Back straps & flower petals - 1/4 yard oilcloth
• Contrast leaf - 1/4 yard oilcloth
• Lining & Trim - 1/3 yard of 44" wide fabric
• Extra firm craft stabilizer - 5/8 yard
• (4) 1 and 1/4" D-rings
• (1) 1" or 1 and 1/4" button
• Heavy button thread
• TOOLS:
• Fabric glue - clear, tacky, and quick dry
• Removeable double-sided tape
• Masking tape
• Clothespins
• Pencil and ruler
