Voyager Bag Pattern

The Voyager Bag Pattern by Among Brenda's Quilts and Bags is by Brenda Miller and is the perfect carry-on duffle bag for that overnight trip or as an extra travel bag! There are instructions for an adjustable strap that can be used as a cross body or shoulder strap. Two outer pockets and two inner slip pockets help keep you organized and there are comfortable padded handles. Instructions are included for 2 1/2" strips of fabric or yardage for the outer bag. This bag pattern is recommended for intermediate sewers.

Materials Needed:

• Main fabric - 19 pre-cut strips of fabric measuring 2 1/2" OR 1 1/4 yards of fabric 42" wide
• Contrasting color (42" wide) - 1 1/8 yard
• Lining - 2 1/4 yards
• Medium weight interfacing, 20" wide - 1 1/3 yards (Pellon Decor Bond 809)
• Light weiht interfacing, 20" wide - 1 1/3 yards (Pellon SF101 Shape-Flex)
• Single-sided Fusible Foam Stabilizer - 1 package, 36" x 58" (Bosal 495S-36)
• Zippers - 30" nylon handbag zipper with 1-2 slides for top closure, two 22"-34" long zippers for outer pockets (optional

• 1 - 1/2" bag slider for shoulder strap
• 4 - 1 1/2" rectangle rings for handles
• 2 - 1 1/2" D or O rings for shoulder strap
• 2 - 1/2" swivel rings for shoulder strap
