The Playdate Bag Pattern *

The Playdate Bag Pattern by Fishsticks Designs includes a messenger bag pattern for Mom and a backpack for your child! Both patterns are made from the same pattern and the size is 9 1/2" wide x 11 1/2" long x 3" deep finished. The Messenger bag has instructions for a large back pocket, a cushioned storage pockets for your tablet or e-Reader, and a smaller pocket hidden inside (great for that cellphone!).

The Backpack is just the right size for your toddler to preschool aged child and has comfortable adjustable back straps and organizational inside pockets for crayons or toys.

Materials Needed:

Fabrics:
• Cotton wovens (quilting fabrics or bottomweights)

Yardage & Notions:

For the backpack:
• 1⁄2 yard each of three fabrics
• 1 yard of fusible fleece
• Two – 1″ strap adjusters
• 1 1⁄2 yards of webbing
• One magnetic snap

For the messenger bag:
• 1⁄2 yard each of three fabrics and 1 yard of a fourth fabric
• 1 yard of fusible fleece
• 1⁄2 yard of fusible interfacing
• One – 1 1⁄8″ fabric covered button kit
