Split Purse-onality Purse Pattern *

The Split Purse-onality Purse Pattern by Heart To Hand uses wool and cotton fabric and appliques to make a truly unique bag! Instructions are included for a comfortable shoulder handle (or wear it cross body!) and the finished size is 15" x 15" (excluding handle).

Materials Needed:

• 1/3 yard black cotton fabric for right half or bag and bottom (will fit on 9" wide if you can get a generous 1/4 pard)
• 1/3 yard (or 9") taupe cotton fabric for left half of bag
• 1/2 yard cotton fabric for bag lining
• 1/4 yard black print cotton fabric for handle
• 1/4 yard contrasting cotton fabric for handle lining (could be same as bag lining or contrast)
• Scraps of blues and black for two quilt block pockets (one on back not shown in photo)
• 1/2 yard thin cotton batting or needlepunch fleece
• Wool fabric for flap pocket and tabs:
• 5" x 7" mauve for pocket
• 4" x 5" dark brown for flap
• 4" x 8" black for bottom tabs
• 4" x 6" purple for penny tabs
• 1/2 yard black novelty trim or lace
• 1/4 yard small pom-pom trim for bottom of flap pocket
• Black frog closure for flap pocket
• Extra large 1 and 1/2" button for top closure
• Button for center of patch pocket
• 6" zipper
• Six small black beads for circle appliques (or do large french knots)
• Black embroidery floss
