Big Easy Bag for Charms *

The Big Easy for Charms Bag Pattern by Whistlepig Creek Productions has instructions and pattern pieces for a big bag with double shoulder straps and a small front flap. This bag pattern uses charm squares and features include a bag that can expand even bigger when you unfasten it! Finished size is 18"W x 12"H  and opens up to expand to 13" deep!

Materials Needed:

• 77 - 5" x 5" fabric squares (Charm Squares) for sides, handles, outside pockets.** (Pre-cut packs are available at quilt stores or use your scraps!)
• 1 and 1/4 yards of fabric for bag body
• 2/3 yard of accent fabric for pocket lining (this shows at the top of the pocket)
• 1 and 1/2 yards fabric for lining
• 1 and 3/4 yards fusible fleece such as Pellon Thermolam Plus
• 5 yards of fusible woven interfacing such as Pellon SF101 (Omit if you want a softer bag)(Reduce of your interfacing is wider than 20")
• **You may substitute the follow fabrics for the 5" x 5" Charms:
• 1/3 yard of accent fabric #1 for outside pockets: substitute for 16 Charms
• 1/2 yard handles - substitute for 27 Charms
• Additional Materials:
• 1 large decorative button for front tab (optional)
• 1 and 1/8" buttons
• 3/4" Velcro
• 16" separating zipper or longer (optional - you may substitute Velcro)
• 2 magnetic snaps (for sides) or you can substitute Velcro
