The Varsity Messenger Pattern *

The Varsity Messenger sewing pattern by Schoolhouse Pattern is an easy to make cross body bag with a colorful patchwork front. This bag pattern has 2 pockets on the inside and a flap closure. This messenger bag pattern is just the right size to hold a full sized iPad! The measurements of this completed bag are: 10.5"x 10.5" with a strap of 26".

Materials needed:

• 1 fat quarter fabric for back & flap top
• 1/2 yd. fabric for flap liner, strap & 1 front strip
• 1/2 yd. fabric for liner & 2 front strips
• 1 fat quarter for pocket & 2 front strips
• 1/2 yd. fusible fleece
• 1/2 yd. heavy weight fusible interfacing - you’ll probably have a lot of this leftover
