Pocketbook Purse Pattern

This purse pattern makes up a cute short handle pocketbook with either quilting or piecework.  This bag is 14" x 9" finished size and you can used your left over fabric to make a vintage style traditional purse.

Materials Needed:

• VIEW ONE: Blue/Burgundy Purse 
• Fabric 1 - fat quarter
• Fabric 2 - fat quarter
• Fabric 3 - fat quarter
• 1/3 yd fabric for lining
• 1/2 yd fabric for binding and handles
• 15 different fabric scraps for appliques and button
• Fusible fleece - 2 pieces 12" x 17"
• Linen thread
• 6" cord for button loop
• 3/4" button for covering
• VIEW 2 - RED PURSE
• Fabric 1 - fat quarter
• Fabric 2 - 1/2 yd
• Fabric 3 - fat quarter
• Fabric 4 - fat quarter
• 1/3 yd of fabric for lining
• 16 different fabric scraps for appliques
• Fusible fleece - 2 pieces 12" x 17"
• Lightweight fusible interfacing - 4 pieces 1 1/4" x 1 1/4"
• 1 yd of 3/4" wide lace trim
• 1 1/4 yds baby rick rack
• Embroidery floss
• Magnetic snap
• Quilters plastic sheet or cardboard to make a circle template
