Jamestown Bag

The Jamestown Bag Pattern by Sue Michaels of Dragonfly Fiberart includes sewing instructions for creating bags in two sizes: 10" x 10" x 6" and 9" x 8" x 5". 6 pockets in the large bag and 4 in the small bag. This is a great beginner class and introduction to bag making as it is achievable in a one day class by most skill levels. Uses yardage or fat quarters. 11 x 17 printed two sides color, folded twice in 6in x 9in hang bag.

Materials needed Small (Large):

• 3/4 yd (1 yd) Fabric - outer bag bottom, handles, inside pockets
• 1/3 yd (1/3 yd) Fabric OR (4) coordinating pieces 7" x 8" (9" x 10") - outer bag upper sides
• 10 1/2" x 8 1/2" (same) Fabric - optional zipper pocket
• 1/2 yd (1/2 yd) Lining Fabric
• 1/2 yd (1/2 yd) Decor Bond
• 1/2 yd (3/4 yd) Thermolan Plus Fusible
• 12" x WOG (same) Peltex - Heavy Weight
• 9" nylon zipper for optional inside zipper pocket
