Quilter's Carpetbag Pattern

The Quilter's Carpetbag pattern by Artful Offerings is a great quilted bag pattern to make for traveling, especially those weekend trips.  This pattern comes in 2 sizes: GRANDE - 16 1/2 inches x 25 inches x 6 inches and PETITE - 13 inches x 20 1/2 inches x 6 inches.

Materials Needed:

• 1 3/8 yd - Large floral (Grande carpet bag front & back, lined interior pockets)
• 1 1/4 yd - Stripe #1 (Grande carpet bag lining, sturdy base cover)
• 1 1/3 yd - Stripe #2 (Petite carpet bag front & back. lined interior pockets)
• 1 1/8 yd - Small floral (Petite carpet bag lining, sturdy base cover)
• 1 5/8 yd - Blck tornal Print #1 (Ornate corners, bottoms, bindings, lined zipper facing)
• 1 fat quarter - Black tonal Print #2 (Label holders)
• 6 yd - Firm Iron-on interfacing (3 yd for carpet bags & 3 yd for lining to add extra stiffness)
• 3 yd - Steam-A-Seam 2 (24 inches wide)
• 3 yd - Warm blend batting
• 2/3 yd - 13 inchTimtex (backing for labels)
• 9 inches x 10 inches - Tulle (label holders)
• 4 size 3/8 inch buttons (label holders)
• 2 sheets - 8/5 inches x 11 inches printable fabric (labels)
• 5 1/2 yd - 3/8 inch wide ribbon (handle ties & zipper pulls)
• 20 inch separating sport zipper (optional for Grande zippered carpet bag)
• 16 inch separating sport ziper (optional for Petite zippered carpet bag)
• 1 pair (7 inches x 8 inches) black acrylic horseshoe handles (Style 25763)
• 1 pair (5 inches x 6/5 inches) black acrylic horseshoe handles (Style 23883)
