Jelly Bags Pattern

The Jelly Bags pattern by Bunny Hill Designs uses a 17 strips from a jelly roll to make a purse with finished size 16 1/2 inches x 14 1/2 inches.  A jelly roll is a bundle of strip fabric with 40 to a roll measuring 2 1/2 inches x 42 inches.  Make your own bags with fun combinations.

Materials Needed:

• Bag front and back: One jelly roll or seventeen 2 1/2 inch x 42 inch strips (1 jelly roll can make 2 to 3 bags, depending on the size)
• Lining: 2 fat quarters or 1/2 yd
• 3/4 yd heavyweight Pellon fusible interfacing (such as Craft Fuse)
• 1/4 yd lightweight fusible interfacing for bag handles
• 5 inch x 15 inch piece of foam core board or cardboard
• 1 inch covered button kit or four 1 inch buttons
