Backpack Purse Pattern

The Backpack Purse by Heart to Hand is a unique backpack pattern with 2 pocket variations that encourages you to use your imagination with appliques and other embelishments!  Scraps of wool fabric are used to make the appliques on the front of this backpack pattern.

Materials Needed:

• 1/2 yd fabric for backpack purse
• 1/2 yd fabric for lining
• 1/2 yd Warm & Natural cotton batting
• Scrap or 1/4 yd for pocket
• Scraps for appliques (wool, felt, cotton with fusible web, etc.)
• 2 yds 1 inch wide strapping
• 5/8 inch button for pocket
• 1 inch or 1 1/4 inch button for top closure
• Embroidery floss
