Little Buddy Messenger Bag Pattern *

The Little Buddy pattern by Wired Up Designs is for a child-sized messenger bag with instructions included for a matching pencil case.  There are lots of interior pockets and this pattern has a large main area that is perfect for books.  Full size pattern pieces are also included and the finished size is 12 1/2" wide x 11 1/2" high x 3 1/2" deep.  The finished pencil case is 8" wide x 6" high.

Materials Needed:

• Main Fabric: 1 yd for messenger bag, and fabric for the pencil case is included in this measurement
• Contrast Fabric: 1/2 yd for messenger bag and the pencil case is included in measurements
• Lining Fabric: 1 yd for messenger bag which includes pencil case
• Light to Mid-Weight Fusible Interfacing: 3 yds (21" wide) for messenger bag which includes pencil case
• Fusible Fleece, Canvas, or heavy-weight interfacing: 1 yd (45" wide) for messenger bag
• Felt: Scraps for applique
• 11" - 1 1/2" Velcro for bag closure
• 14" - 7/8" wide grosgrain ribbon
• Optional: 33" - 1 1/2" to 2" wide webbing for straps (if not sewing straps)
• 8" zipper for pencil case
