The Cheri Bag Pattern

The Cheri Bag pattern by Ellen Medlock comes in 3 different sizes - petite, medium & large with easy to follow instructions. Finished sizes (not including handles) are: LARGE -15 inches W x 12 inches H x 6 inches D; MEDIUM - 13 inches W x 10 inches H x 5 1/2 inches D; PETITE - 11 inches W x 8 inches H x5 inches D.   Corner pattern templates included but not full size pattern pieces.

 Materials Needed:

• FABRIC: PETITE BAG -3/8 yd for the front/back, 3/8 yd of a coordinating fabric for lining/pocket. MEDIUM/LARGE - 1/2 yd for front/back, 1/2 yd for interior lining/pocket
• Iron on interfacing - Pellon (45 inches wide) PETITE: 3/4 yd MEDIUM/LARGE: 1 yd
• Ribbon (all sizes): 1/4 yd of 5/8 inch wide grosgrain ribbon (for loops that hold the handles) PETITE - 2 yds of sturdy 1/4 inch wide ribbon OPTIONAL for Petite - 2 yds of 5/8 inch coordinating grosgrain  ribbon (to wrap handles as shown on photo)
• Handles - purchased - PETITE - Arched bamboo or arched cane 5 - 6 inches wide x 4 - 4 1/2 inches high or similar size with 4 attached metal handle hooks
• Trim - All sizes (optional) Petite size: 2/3 yd Medium size: 3/4 yd Large size: 7/8 yd
• Fabric Glue
• Liquid seam sealant (Fray check)
• Magnetic snap
• 10 1/2 inches x 13 1/2 inches sheet of stiff plastic needlepoint canvas
