Satchels and Top Pattern

The Satchel and Tops pattern by Whistlepig Creek Productions has instructions for 2 satchel bag sizes: Large & Small.  There are also instructions for decorating a matching top - coordinate your shirt and bag! 

Materials Needed:

• TOP - purchased shirt and 1/8 yd of each of 11 fabrics or scraps (strips for log cabin blocks are 1" wide)
• Large Satchel: 1 1/3 yd fabric
• 1 yd lining fabri
• 1 1/4 yd warm & natural batting (optional)
• 1/8 yd of each of 21 fabrics or scraps
• 1 yd drawstring
• 5 decorative buttons - 3/4" - 1"
• Small Satchel: 1/2 yd or fat quarter satchel fabric (back & pocket)
• 1/8 yd strap fabric
• 1/8 yd warm & natural batting
• 1/2 yd or fat quarter lining fabric
• 1/3 yd or fat quarter contrast fabric (front)
• 4 decorative buttons 3/4" - 1"
