Flamenco Bag Pattern *

The Flamenco Bag pattern by Monica Poole is a frilly bag with ruffles that is easy to make!  The frills are made by stitching across stretched elastic and 2 sizes are included: SMALL is 11" x 11" and LARGE is 11" x 16".

Materials Needed:  Base on 44" wide fabrics

• SMALL BAG: Main fabric and lining - 14" each
• 2 frills of same fabric - 14"
• 1 frill and handle of same fabric - 12"
• Medium weight iron on Pellon for small bag only - 14"
• LARGE BAG: Main fabric and lining - 1/2 yd
• OR 3/4 yd if main and lining are the same fabric
• 2 frills of same fabric - 14"
• 2 frills and handle of same fabric - 1/2 yd
• 1 frill - 8"
• Additional requirements: 1/4" wide rigaline boning for handles
• Short handles: 1, 2/3 yd or Long handles: 2, 2/3 yd
• 1/4" wide elastic:
• 3 frill bag - 2 yds
• 5 frill bag: 3 1/4 yd
