Patchwork Buffalo Bag Pattern

The Patchwork Buffalo Bag pattern by Nancy Southerland-Holmes is made of classic patchwork squares with optional beaded leather fringe embellishment.  Finished size is 22 inches x 22 inches with a 34 inch long strap.  Full size pattern pieces are not included.

Materials Needed:

• 3/8 yard dark Arrowhead print for patchwork
• 3/8 yard tan Arrowhead print for patchwork
• 3/8 yard Eagle Feather Stripe print fabric for patchwork
• 1 yard tan Medicine Wheel print for patchwork and shoulder strap
• 2 yards tan Buffalo print for patchwork and bag lining
• 1 1/2 yards cotton quilt batting
• 1 yard muslin fabric
• Sewing and hand quilting thread
• Optional embellishments include: 17 inches x 7 inches leather or suede remnant for fringe; large assorment of glass and bone beads to string on the leather fringe; 6 to 8 -1 inch rustic wooden buttons
